Part-time Students
ALCC welcomes part-time students, considered on an individual basis, in pursuit of particular fields of interest or study.

Transferring Credit Hours to ALCC
As a result of ALCC’s unique vision, credit hours brought by an incoming transfer student from another college or university will be looked at individually for approval or disapproval. ALCC will accept a maximum of 25% of transferable credits toward the student’s ALCC course requirements, which is subject to the approval of the academic dean.

When courses are transferred, credit hours are entered on the ALCC transcript and are not used in the calculation of the ALCC grade point average. Courses with grades below “A” will not be accepted for transfer.

To Transfer Credit Hours From ALCC
Students desiring to transfer credit hours from ALCC should request an official transcript and appropriate course descriptions be sent to the registrar of the institution under consideration. Generally, institutions grant transfer of those course credits when the student has received an education in areas similar in description to the courses they require, and when the student has achieved a grade at or above their standards for transfer.

Students will have more success in transferring credits when they can apply through the dean of the school of their desired major. A current list of schools who have transferred ALCC academic credit hours is available upon request.
